Landscape painter, author of historical and genre compositions, repeatedly awarded for his creative work. Representative of the Munich school and realism in painting. The presented charming landscape with staffage is the quintessence of the artist's style. As is often the case in the painter's compositions, it is nature that plays a prominent role in it. Lush, juicy greenery, against which the chiaroscuro play takes place, fills almost the entire space of the painting. It reveals to the viewer only the meeting of a soldier and a girl against the background of a country cottage, located in the central point of the composition. Malecki's painting exudes poeticism, characteristic of Polish painters from the Munich circle. Visible in it are references to the Polish landscape and nostalgia for the homeland.
