Titus Romanchuk (1865-1911), Rocks in Lovran

Tytus Romanchuk (1865-1911) Painter. Born most likely in Lviv, where he completed gymnasium and law studies. Until 1896 he worked in Lviv as an official of the Land Department. He attended evening painting courses at the Lviv State Industrial School. In 1898-1899 he studied with Stanislaw Grocholski in Munich. In the years around 1907-1907 he stayed in Vienna. He spent the last years of his life in Lovran, where he met Stanislaw Witkiewicz. He exhibited in Lviv at TPSP in 1906. Lovran - a town in Croatia known for its health properties. At the turn of the 20th century, the place of numerous peregrinations of summer visitors due to the unusual location of the coastal beaches just above the mountains. Stanislaw Witkiewicz died in this town in 1915.
