18th Century Venetian Painter, 18th Century Venetian Painter, River Landscape with Fishermen and Washers River Landscape with Ruins and Figures

Oil on Canvas, 75 x 96 cm

Splendid pair of paintings with all the pictorial and chromatic characteristics of the most elegant Venetian landscape of the 18th century. The particularly harmonious compositions, and the remarkable plays of light between the shaded areas of the thick vegetation and the luminous backgrounds, are highly effective and create an excellent visual effect on the viewer. They are obviously works of excellent quality that easily approach the production of the Venetian Master Giuseppe Zais, a great interpreter of the Venetian 'Golden Age' landscape painting. Beautifully sized and perfectly framed, they are in excellent condition. In perfect condition although there is a layer of yellow paint. Small cleaning window. Oil on Canvas, 75 x 96 cm
