Venetian mirror, neo-Rococo

Glass, mirrored panels, wood; height ca. 127 cm, overall width 82 cm;
Italy, Venice, 19th/20th century.
Center panel beveled, octagonal, framed by eight quatrefoil mirrors with etched and painted floral decoration; in the finial, similarly decorated three panels with wavy edge design: two smaller on the sides and one larger at the top;
at the bottom of the mirror - a wavy apron of two small panels; all outer and inner edges bordered with triple twisted glass strips; at the corners and intersections - appliqued 6-petal flowers of light blue clear glass; the edges of the quarters in the finial and at the bottom decorated with applied, wide glass strips in the form of rocaille, as well as large, multi-petaled flowers with blue centers (several petals missing - especially on the left side;
minor chipping and cracking of glass; all on wooden base.
