BIO:
Piotr Alexander Grodzki was born in 1957 in Koronowo. He works in wood sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, installation and performance. He lives and resides in Koronowo, and since 1988 in Berlin and Greifswald. He studied at the private Papkin Brothers School of Fine Arts in Berlin (1993-1994), at Ernst Moritz Arndt University in Greifswald 2010-2015) Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Philosophy and Art History, and Master's degree in Fine Arts at the Casper David Fridrich Institute University Greifswald (diploma in the studio of Prof. Ulrich Puritz). Since 1994 he has been associated with the FRGZS "Brain" in Bydgoszcz, and cooperated with the now defunct Art Association "Pressure Tower" in Bydgoszcz. In 1996-2001, he was a member of the Association of Artists Berlin and the Association of Polish Artists in Bydgoszcz, where he has been again since 2019. Since 2010, he is a member of the Association of Artists "art-cube - space for contemporary art e.V." in Greifswald (Germany).
Author of solo exhibitions and performance appearances and participant in group exhibitions in Poland and Germany.
